The Ultimate Hero

There's something about heroes...
The selfless acts of people, normally masked, who are looked up to by everyone because of their wonderful deeds. They are admired, looked up to, and envied. They are burdened with responsibilities and great expectations.

What is it that makes a hero? A hero is not afraid to give his life.

At one point, if not several or many times, in a person's life, we are in need of saving. We all need a hero.
We all have chickened out on things and life and doing what's right and being a hero. The people that stand out, those that make history are those that aren't afraid of doing the right thing. They are courageous.

True heroes put there lives on the line every single day for what they know is right and what they believe.

That's what makes Christ so amazing. He's the ultimate Hero. He gave His entire life to save all people.

"Who's gonna fight for what's right?
Who's gonna help us survive?
We're in the fight of our lives (And we're not ready to die)
Who's gonna fight for the weak?
Who's gonna make 'em believe?
I've got a hero (I've got a hero)
Living in me
I'm gonna fight for what's right
Today I'm speaking my mind
And if it kills me tonight (I will be ready to die)
A hero's not afraid to give his life
A hero's gonna save me just in time"

We're all in need of a hero and a savior and we all need to be saved. Let Christ be your Hero and He will save you.

Why Should the Devil Have All the Good Music

Change of plans!

After sleeping on it and thinking about my blog and after talking to my special someone, I decided that I should probably narrow down my blog even more.
Music is a broad topic and it'll be hard to talk about music from way back when and there's so many different kinds of music and so on. So I have decided that my blog is just going to be over Christian Contemporary music! I'll throw in a few hymns and a few instrumental along the way too, just to shake things up :)

Jesus Music

CCM was originally called "Jesus Music." It came out of the Jesus movement revival in the late 60s.
Paul Wohlegemuth, who wrote the book Rethinking the Church said, "[the] 1970s will see a marked acceptance of rock-influenced music in all levels of church music. The rock style will become more familiar to all people, its rhythmic excesses will become refined, and its earlier secular associations will be less remembered."
Jesus Music is a mixture of rock and folk music, which is separate from traditional or southern gospel music.
The first full-blown Christian rock album was released by Larry Norman in 1969, called Upon This Rock.

Personally, I don't listen to this kind of music normally. But it shows the influence of the time and it shows the birth of what we now know as Contemporary Christian Music.

Oh Happiness

It's summer and that makes me happy! normally I don't write when I'm happy, but this is an exception, because I'll be writing about music and music makes me happy! haha! If you couldn't tell, I'm happy :)

Music is a form of expression. Writing is also a form expression. So I will be expressing about another form of expression (for those who haven't take philosophy, sorry to bore you with my fluffy sayings).
I'm going to start with some very old music and then discuss how it progressed through time and then we'll talk about the present music and how it got to be like it is and the positive and negatives about the music today. Then we'll talk about the different types of music, which there are a lot of.
And we can't forget the latest and the greatest artists of all time!
So we'll be covering a lot over the summer. But it will be a blast!
